Powered by a custom OCR engine and AI-driven categorisation, the AI accounting platform automates detail extraction and ledger account management by scanning financial documents.
Along with this, the AI-powered accounting and bookkeeping platform can also detect errors and anomalies present. It can identify mismatches, duplicate entries, and unusual transactions. The intelligent accounting platform also provides users with a centralized document management system to track all activities on the platform.
The AI accounting platform is cloud-based, making it accessible over the internet as well as for Android and iOS devices. The platform caters to three types of audiences: clients, external accountants, and admins. Built to withstand an increasing user base, the AI-powered accounting and bookkeeping platform offers scalability with security.
The client wanted an intelligent platform that would automate the time-consuming accounting processes of manually reading documents, keying in data, and coding transactions by hand. They wanted the platform to be compatible with their existing accounting tools. Seamless integration of the AI accounting platform with tools without complete replacement was a key concern the client had.
Apart from this, the client wanted to eliminate human error by utilizing advanced AI technologies for repetitive accounting tasks automation. They wanted the AI-powered accounting platform to be capable of maintaining accuracy and quick task turnaround, all while lowering the burden of manually processing financial records.
The process of developing the AI-powered accounting and bookkeeping platform began with brainstorming sessions. Our team connected with the client. This helped us understand accounting workflows, bottlenecks that need to be addressed, automation vision of the client, and create a roadmap for structured development.
With a proper strategy in mind, our team started working by collecting real document samples, selecting OCR and AI models. This was followed by developing the user interface layer, which needed extra attention to detail as it was being built for three different types of users. Each user type’s dashboards, portals, and document management systems were worked on here as well.
After developing the interfaces, our development team then moved its focus to building the OCR and AI models. Here, factors like intelligent categorization and VAT coding automation were worked on. After developing these core features of the AI accounting platform, integration was carried out, where Open Banking, accounting software, and Companies House were integrated into the platform.
Once the frontend, backend, and integration dots were connected, our team began testing the platform. Our quality analysts tested everything from every component to its interrelations with other components, followed by testing the entire system. After the platform matched the client’s expectations along with the set accuracy benchmarks, our team proceeded with deployment, which was then backed by active monitoring and maintenance to ensure smooth performance.
