Hygiene education is an integral part of a child’s growth and development; however, children with disabilities often face barriers in accessing this education. The NDTV–Dettol #BanegaSwasthIndia initiative is overcoming this challenge with its first-of-a-kind hygiene education awareness program and “#IamTheChange movement” that aims to reach over 10 million children with special needs.
Quytech is proud to have partnered as the technology provider for this initiative. We have developed India’s first digital accessibility hygiene curriculum app tailored specifically for children with visual, hearing, speech, and learning disabilities.
The project showcases our commitment to leveraging technology for social impact and making hygiene education inclusive and accessible for children with special needs. The app is loaded with engaging and motivating content that promotes hygiene awareness. With interactive stories, engaging activities, and visual aids, we aim to make learning hygiene meaningful and enjoyable for every child.
The following are the exceptional features that make our digital accessibility hygiene curriculum application stand out:
- Text-to-Speech Functionality: With this feature, visually impaired children can listen to lessons and instructions.
- Sign Language Support: With this functionality, children with hearing difficulties can access content through clear visual communication.
- Calm Mode & Adaptive Learning: The feature enables children with learning disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum, to learn at their own pace with a soothing, distraction-free interface.
- Interactive Learning Modules: Added story-based scenarios and visual examples to help children understand hygiene practices in a relatable, hands-on manner.

I am proud of this initiative and of developing this first-of-its-kind app for the specially-abled children. It is an important step towards digital accessibility to educate young kids who don’t have access to any medium or platform to be aware of hygiene. The app aims to reach 10 million visually impaired, hearing impaired, and specially abled children across the country and educate them about the importance of hygiene.
